Kevin Sharp Dead, country music, Kevin Sharp, Nobody Knows

Kevin Grant Sharp, 43 was an American country music singer who had recorded multiple chart-topping songs. His battle with cancer was also well-publicized.

Mary Huston, Sharp's sister announced that he passed away at his mother's Fair Oaks, California home, at 10:49 p.m. last Saturday due to complications from past stomach surgeries and digestive issues.

"He had a strong heart, that's what kept him alive, (but) I'm so happy for him, that there's no more suffering," her sister said.

Sharp made his debut on the country music scene in 1997 with a cover of R&B artist Tony Rich's single "Nobody Knows", a cover which topped the Billboard country charts for four weeks. He released two other albums, "Love Is" in 1998 and "Make A Wish" in 2005.

He survived a rare form of bone cancer when he was young, he became actively involved in the Make-A-Wish Foundation. He also wrote an inspirational book about his experience, and occasionally toured the United States as a motivational speaker.

Sharp has been struggling from past stomach surgery and residual issues from his aggressive cancer treatment.

He is survived by five brothers, two sisters and his mother.
