Deen Castronovo Drummer for Journey Charged with Rape in Oregon

ORTLAND, Oregon - Deen Castronovo the drummer of the band Journey was jailed on Tuesday. He was charged with rape, sexual assault and unlawful use of a weapon.

Castronovo, 50, of Salem, Oregon, made an afternoon court appearance where a Marion County Circuit Judge did not set bail for his release.

The incident happened on June 14.

There will be another hearing set for Wednesday morning for Castronovo.

His band Journey are best known for their songs in the 80's "Don't Stop Believin'" and "Who's Crying Now". He was replaced by drummer Omar Hakim shortly after his arrest this month.
